Chaconne is a writer & director originally from Portland, Oregon, now living in NYC. Her work explores desire, power dynamics, and the female gaze.

She is a writer on Amazon’s TV Series Cruel Intentions, and previously wrote for Amazon's I Know What You Did Last Summer.

As a director, Chaconne’s short film, Scotty’s Vag, premiered at SXSW 2023 and won Best Narrative Short at Atlanta Film Festival. Watch it on Vimeo. Her short, In Sync, premiered at Maryland Film Festival and is now on NoBudge.

Currently, Chaconne is a member of AFI’s DWW+ class of 2026, and a Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors fellow. She is also developing her first feature.

She holds a BA in Creative Writing & Film from Johns Hopkins University.
